Server
The server part is installed at a central location usually in the EDP room.
The server acts as a translator switch of the authorization request for a new card between the clients and the institution’s card management system.
The server, for the authorization request, translates the internal message format to the one required by the card management system and for the authorization response, translates the card management system message format to the internal one.
The server also acts as a bridge between the clients and the system database, CIIA/DB™.
